Facilities
Our staff is often commended on their professional yet friendly approach. We will do everything we can to make your visit as comfortable as possible. We ensure a high ratio of nursing staff per patient with an average of three to four patients to one nurse/midwife. This ratio is increased to one to one care in critical areas such as the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Labour Ward.
Patient safety is our main concern. The Mayflower Hospital has specialists and facilities on hand should an emergency arise. In these circumstances you or your child will be cared for by senior doctors such as Consultant Obstetricians, Gynaecologists or Pediatricians, Consultant Anesthetists. These facilities include a dedicated emergency obstetric theatre, NICU / Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU).
Room Categories
More than 20 patient rooms, all equipped to ensure comfort and tranquility, are available at Mayflower. With world-class facilities, and a team of extremely well trained nursing staff, and doctors round the clock, the only thing you have to worry about is getting a new high score on the game you’ve been playing.
Postpartum Care
Mayflower sets the benchmark in postpartum mother and baby care. A Neonatal observation and care room near the mother’s room allows you to keep a close eye on your precious little child while all critical and pre-term babies are cared for at our partner NICU centre.
Nutrition & Dietetics
Our bodies are designed to survive, to care, and to provide. The Nutrition and Dietetics department at Mayflower was created with aim to assist and amplify that natural care.
Nutritional assessment, counselling services, enteral, and parenteral feeding recommendations are just some ways in which we keep the mother and child at peace.
A full fledged Cafeteria open to all visitors makes way for an easy experience.
Laboratory
A wide range of clinical testing procedures are offered at our in-house sample collection laboratory, from basic blood tests to pathologic studies, including covid-19 screenings for all our indoor patients.
OT Floor
- All our Operation Theatres (OT) have clean air zero bacteria Hepa filters (Class 10,000 Hepa filters) for complete asepsis.
- We have three fully 3D OTs with Karl STORZ Image1 S 3D system for 3D Laparoscopic Surgeries.
- We ensure the use of world class technology for gynaec-laparoscopic surgeries, which include Harmonic HD 1000i scalpel (Ethicon), Ligasure Vessel Sealing Technology (Medtronic) and many others.
- Additionally, at Mayflower, you’ll find fully equipped IVF OT and IVF labs , IUI (Andrology) lab, an Embryology department and fully equipped labour room for safe labour and delivery.
- Our patient recovery rooms comprise 3bedded ICU care with ventilator.
- Lastly, we also use STERRAD 100S Sterilisation System (Ethicon) for achieving advanced sterilisation in the Operation rooms.
