Why Train at Mayflower?

Mayflower Women's Hospital has been performing advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgery for over 22 years. The surgical techniques taught here were not taken from a textbook. They were developed in these operating theatres, refined through thousands of cases, and are now referenced internationally.

Fellows don't spend twelve months watching. From the first weeks, they're scrubbed in, handling instruments, and assisting in real procedures on real patients.

Four things set Mayflower fellowship training apart from other programmes in India:

University Accreditation

The Fellowship in MIS is a Gujarat University-accredited postgraduate fellowship and one of India's few stipend-supported programmes offering comprehensive, hands-on training in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. Designed to provide extensive operative exposure under expert mentorship, the fellowship equips practising gynaecologists with advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgical skills, preparing them for independent practice and a successful career in minimally invasive surgery.

International Faculty

Train under experienced faculty who regularly teach and collaborate through national and international academic platforms. Fellows gain exposure to contemporary surgical techniques, advanced case discussions, and evolving standards in minimally invasive gynaecology.

Direct Mentorship

The faculty developed the techniques. Dr. Sanjay Patel developed the Adenomyomectomy and Butterfly Peritonectomy. He teaches these protocols in the same theatres where he created them. That kind of access doesn't exist elsewhere.

Live Surgical Exposure

Fellows train within a complete women's hospital and participate in real surgical procedures throughout the programme. Exposure includes IVF, foetal medicine, GI surgery, aesthetic medicine, and obstetrics alongside core surgical training.
